The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina has published the 17th edition of this annual release, designed as a practical guide through key social and economic indicators. The latest edition includes updated data on employment, prices, trade, health, education, digitalization, the environment, and other areas that shape life in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Intended for a broad audience – from students and citizens to researchers and decision-makers – the publication presents the most important statistics through concise, informative texts, charts, and maps. It is written in a clear and accessible manner, avoiding technical jargon that might be difficult for those less familiar with statistics.

Since last year, the publication is released in July instead of January, in order to include more complete and up-to-date data aligned with the statistical year cycle. This ensures that users have access to accurate and timely information, without the data gaps that previously arose due to limited access to sources at the end of the calendar year. As a result, the publication gains added value – whether as a tool for analysis, planning, or general awareness.

The publication is available free of charge on the website of the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina and can serve as a starting point for exploring the country through numbers – for anyone who wants to understand where we stand, how we live, and where we are headed.

The preparation of the publication continues to follow recommendations and best practices developed through cooperation with Eurostat and other international partners, while its redesign, implemented as part of the Open Government Partnership Action Plan, has further improved clarity and made the data more accessible to the wider public.
