Workshop on proactive transparency for institutions of FBiH, RS and BDBiH
In organization of the Group for Communications of the Strengthening Program of Public Institutions, by the request of the Federal Government of Germany, German GIZ in cooperation with the Office of the Coordinator for Public Administration Reform carried out workshop on proactive transparency in Doboj from 30th to 31st October 2019.
The workshop introduced the concept of the proactive transparency and the history of the initiative itself that was launched in 2014 in collaboration with representatives of civil society, this was presented by the SIZ advisor Elvis Mujanović.
Vedrana Faladzic, Senior Public Relations Associate at the Office of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator, spoke about the implementation of 38 standards of proactive transparency with a particular aspect to their importance for BiH citizens and the implementation of public administration reform in BiH.
Alen Mrgud, Head of Department for Editorial and Publishing at the Agency for Statistics of BiH introduced a tool for self-assessment in meeting standards.
Slavica Škoro, Expert Advisor for Public Relations of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH spoke about guidelines for meeting standards with a focus on frequently asked questions, while Mubera Begić, Expert Advisor for reform of public authority give examples in practice regarding the implementation of standards.
About the plans for publishing of the information on website of the institutions spoked Lana Babić, Head of the Communication Section in the field of European Integration of the Directorate for European Integration of BiH.
Along with the interactive discussion, there were also exercises with specific examples regarding the topics covered at the two-day workshop.
To the workshop was attended by: Civil Service Agency of FBiH, Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska, Public Relations Office FBiH, Federal Ministry of Finance, Tax Administration of FBiH, Ministry of Transport and Communications of Republika Srpska Doboj, Bureau of Public Relations of the General Secretariat of the Government of FBiH, BD Employment Bureau, Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska, Tax Administration of Republika Srpska, Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, Agency for State Administration of RS and Office for Public Administration and Institutions of Brčko District of BiH.
Representatives of institutions have recognized the importance of the concept of proactive transparency and are committed to further improving the transparency of the institutions.
