ATTRACTIVE DANUBE

ATTRACTIVE DANUBE is a project co-financed by the European Union (ERDF, IPA) through the Danube Transnational Program and brings together 19 project partners whose objectives are to support better planning policies for territorial attractiveness in 11 countries: Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.

Dr.sc. Velimir Jukić, director of the Agency for Statistics of BiH signed Memorandum for „Managing with Territorial Attractiveness Monitoring Platform“, on 12. March 2019, with representatives of following institutions:

  • Federal Ministry of Environmental Planning
  • Federal Institution for Development Programing
  • Federal Institution for Agropedology
  • The Federal Institute for Geology
  • Federal Hydrometeorological Institute
  • Institute for Spatial Planning and Urban Planning of Tuzla Canton

ATTRACTIVE DANUBE is focused on the strengthening of multilayer and transnational management and institutional capacities of policy planners concerned with the territorial development of the Danube Region, which will result in better alignment of the governance system of the Danube Region.

The Project partners established a permanent joint transnational platform for monitoring territorial attractiveness (CO-TAMP), as well as 11 national-regional platforms (TAMP) and published the Atlas of territorial attractiveness.

Federal Ministry of Environmental Planning is a partner in the transnational project (Improving Capacities for Enhancing Territorial Attractiveness of the Danube Regio) acronym ATTRACTIVE DANUBE. This ministry is the main subject that in charge of maintaining and upgrading TAMP in Bosnia and Herzegovina by 2022.

The long-term sustainability of the TAMP development process depends on ensuring the mutual cooperation of institutions at both interstate and national, and regional and local levels. The "Memorandum of Understanding" is an instrument that will share ownership and responsibility in furthering TAMP, based on the growing need for data and information.

The purpose of this Memorandum is to facilitate the long-term institutional cooperation for monitoring and planning of territorial attractiveness, especially regarding the impact of the Territorial Attraction Monitoring Platform - TAMP in the policy planning process at national, regional and / or local level.
