Survey on the Structure of Earnings
For the first time, a Survey on the Structure of Earnings will be conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina from October 20 to December 31, 2023. The Survey will be carried out by the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Institute of Statistics of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic Institute of Statistics of Republika Srpska.
The purpose of the Survey on the Structure of Earnings is to obtain internationally comparable data on salaries based on individual characteristics of employees (occupation, gender, level of education, age, years of service, type of employment contract) and characteristics of businesses (activity, size, and ownership structure). These indicators will be of great significance for both businesses and external data users, as monthly, annual, and minimum wage data will be available for the first time, along with data on salaries by gender, occupation, activity, and more.
The reference year for collecting data for the Survey on the Structure of Earnings is 2022. The Survey is conducted every four years. The results of the Survey will be published in June 2024.
The collected data is confidential and will be used exclusively for statistical purposes in accordance with Article 23 of the Law on Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH No. 26/04 and 42/04).
The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina will inform businesses selected in the sample from the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina about their participation in the Survey.
