The Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) 2024.

The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Federal Institute of Statistics of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic Institute of Statistics of the Republic of Srpska, is conducting the Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) 2024.

 In accordance with the Eurostat methodology, the Survey on Income and Living Conditions 2024 includes a repeated survey of households on a part of the sample from the second wave (2023).

The repeated survey of households is necessary to monitor changes that occur within a household between two survey waves, in order to identify the occurrence of long-term poverty and track other socio-economic characteristics.

The Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) 2024 is a study conducted in private households. The aim of this survey is to collect data on income, poverty, social exclusion, material deprivation, socio-economic characteristics of individuals, and living conditions. The data will be used to obtain key social indicators at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its entities. The survey is conducted on a randomly selected sample of households.

The Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) 2024 will be conducted across the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina from May to July 2024. The survey will be carried out on the ground by authorized and trained interviewers, engaged by the official statistical institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The collected data is confidential and, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH Nos. 26/04 and 42/04), will be used exclusively for statistical purposes.
