Representatives from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics visited statistical institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Today ended a two-day study visit from the Croatian Bureau of Statistic to the statistical institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was organised with the aim of exchanging experiences and improving the statistical system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics Lidija Brković,  General Director, Marija Kamenski, Head of the Independent Service for International Cooperation, and Marcela Gracin Fagač, Head of the Department for Finance and Procurement, shared with the hosts their experiences from the last Census of Population, Households and Dwellings and the use of administrative sources for statistical purposes.

On the other hand, the representatives from BH statistical institutions, Vesna Ćužić, Director of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, Radmila Čičković, Deputy Director of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, Emir Kremić, Director of the Federal Institute for Statistics of FBiH and Dijana Simanić, Assistant Director for the cabinet of the Federal Institute for Statistics of FBiH and Radosav Savanović, Deputy Director of the Institute of Statistics of RS presented  situation in the statistical system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and experiences with the use of administrative sources, and informed colleagues from Croatia about the status of activities for the preparation of the census of population and agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One of the topics discussed,as well, were the experience on harmonisation of national statistical systems with the European Statistical System (ESS) and the agreement on the continuance of the successful cooperation between the statistical institutions of the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
